Amouage Gold for Women by Amouage: launched in 1983. Created by Guy Robert, it was the first fragrance issued by the house of Amouage and is a perennial classic among its devotees.
The successful line grew to include a line of corresponding body products such as soap and perfumed body cream.
The original bottle, made up of 24% lead crystal, with a lustrous 24kt gold plated onion dome cap, drew its inspiration from the Palace Ruwi Mosque.
Today, the perfume is housed inside of a square shaped crystal bottle with slightly curved corners, which would subsequently become the standard Amouage flacon for feminine scents, this edition is made luminous by a gold finish. Topped with a polished gold plated dome cap, it gives the presentation an air of pure opulence, indicative of what Amouage represents.
So what does it smell like? It is classified as an aldehydic floral fragrance for women.
